God Bless you
all in the wonderful name of a Risen Savior, Jesus the Christ. Carl was
taken to Rome to do a wedding for a girl he had ministered to in Romania. Many
Romanians have left Romania to get jobs and there are about 1000 of them in
Rome. He and Fred Goff (from OK) got there to find out the wedding is not until
next week. Well you know Carl well enough to not waste anything so they went to
Church. The first church they went to was Pentecostal. The people were cold and
did not hear the message Carl brought to them. Nobody got healed. They then went
to a Baptist and the people were warm and very friendly. They heard the word and
many got healed. The Pentecostal church heard about the healings and said, that
shouldn't be, we're Pentecostal, we should have been healed, so Carl and Fred
went back and many heard this time and were healed. (I missed the call from Carl
on Sunday, I was in Las Cruces having dinner with my parents, so that's what he
told Jan. For some reason my cell phone didn't ring and I missed this call). But
I did get the call when they arrived in Romania. Carl was a little upset cause
customs had taken his peanut butter, which he needs for protein. Carl said as
they were flying into Bucharest that the land surrounding was still under water.
Romania got hit with yet more flooding last week. The fields for the crops had
been flooded 7 times since he left last fall. Many Romanians have said this
winter is the worst in recorded history and that nobody could imagine how it
could get worst. Carl asked for prayer for Uncle Lee to find his passport when
he called at 3:00 this morning. John Lambert brought him a cell phone to use as
he did the last trip and Carl was able to get thru this morning. He is feeling
better, said he had sweated whatever was "BUGGING" him out. Praise God. Ed
Johnson, Uncle Lee, Roxana, and Denny Landmark (Denny's from the fellowship in
Seattle) arrived in Bucharest three days before Carl and Fred. Please keep these
servants in your prayers and their wife's and families. I am doing well. Love in
Christ, Sheila

Glory to God!
I somehow lost the newest message from Fred Goff but had talked with Carl and
there's some wonderful news.
Eleven years
ago when we first started going into Romania we had been in simple obedience
praying for those who cursed us, the Gypsies. It was because of that we went to
God and he gave us one word, which was "curse”, which caused Carl to study what
the bible said about curses. Hence the book "Turning Curses to Blessing", which
started us on the road to repentance for sins we had no idea were there and this
brought much healing in our own souls and bodies as a result. A year later a
whole village of about 450 Gypsies in Romania came to accept Jesus Christ as the
Son of God and believed unto eternal life. Three months later on another trip,
the religious leaders confronted Carl, concerning all the Gypsy churches that
had sprung up. They didn't think the Gypsies were capable of "Christianity" and
wanted Carl to “do something" about them. (As the gypsies kept spreading the
Word of God they had started 60 churches in villages in Romania in those first 3
months!) Over the last 10 years we have trusted God for the money to support
the Gypsies ministers (most were not educated and even if they were, the lack of
employment in Romania, especially in the villages in the rural areas is none
existence). Pastor Jon in Romania is instrumental in bringing many Gypsies to
the Lord. He has been tried and tested by many false ministers that wanted to
put him under their banner and "prophesy" falsely into his soul, but never any
financial support for his work. Carl & Ed Johnson realized the need for the
ministers in the Gypsy nation (people) to be able to be legal. We set up
Christian Faith International Ministries in the USA and outreached to Romania
(and elsewhere). The state run ministries, the Catholic Church and the Greek
Orthodox, were given help but the Gypsies were not. Two nights ago the
President of the Gypsies and a member of the Romanian Parliament met with Carl
at Pastor Jon’s church in Bucharest and announced that the government of Romania
was going to recognize “Gypsy Christian Faith International Ministries” as a
legal Romanian church which means they would get the same benefit from the
government as the others. (More of an update on what this means after Carl
returns home but keep this in your prayers) (Note: even though we ordained
the gypsy ministers, we ordain ministers into service in the Body of Christ and
not into CFIM) It's been a long road and the race is not over yet, but thank you
for all your prayer and support to make this recognition of the gypsy Christians
in Romania possible, for without your love for the lost and supporting Carl and
Ed's vision for the Gypsy Nation, this historical event could never have come to
pass. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR FAITHFULNESS AND TRUST IN GOD FOR THE
IMPOSSIBLE. With all my love, Sheila Fox

God Bless,
Carl called late last night and wanted me to ask for prayers for the village he
was in Sunday. The dikes of the Danube River broke and the village had six feet
of water but is expected to get some 20 more feet. The people took what they
could and are in the hills above. The fields were almost dried out from last
falls flooding but most of the foods grown for these people are now flooded
again. I also wanted to explain the important of "Gypsy Christian Faith
International". Several years ago, many in the "Christian Community" got a law
passed in Bucharest that no Gypsies could be buried in their church graveyards.
Now the Gypsies will be able to get a place to bury their dead. I asked Carl
how many people were in Pastor Jon’s church and he said about three hundred with
standing room only. (This is in the slums) An interesting thing they do every
Sunday is to divide up into small groups and go out into Bucharest to witness,
everybody in the church does this. Hopefully now (with the new recognition of
the gypsy Christians as a legal church – “Gypsy Christian Faith International”)
we will not have to pay for all the fines Jon Colin got thru the years for
having CHURCH in the parks and streets of Bucharest. Thank you Father for the
people who have lost their homes and lands to the floods, Thank you for
protecting them and get them into shelter from the storms. Thank you Father God
for restoring the farming land quickly, that the fields dry up so quick that
even the world has to acknowledge it was your hand. Thank you Father for
your grace upon grace unto these people who once were not a people but now they are
yours. Thank you continuing to open doors of utterance for them to bring those
who have not heard of your Son Jesus the Christ into your family and eternity,
in the awesome name of Jesus. Love, Sheila

God Bless you all, just spoke with Carl and they are doing good, Roxanna was there and she sends her loves and continues to Praise God for never leaving or forsaking us. I asked Carl about the Gypsy churches in the villages, and he said that the one located on the edge of the Danube is probably gone. He had been there hours before the dike broke and said at that time it had much water in it and doesn't see how it could be standing after the estimated 20 ft of water came thru. I had been at that village and church about 4 years ago. I remember sitting outside in the car waiting for the other to arrive and the children started gathering around the car. First it was a few and more and more. I found out later that the children had to share the shoes to come outside, so they would put these shoes on and then go back so others could walk on the cold ground. Several weeks before this trip I had a vision. I saw these brownish small feet. I asked God what's this. I mean, when out of the blue your seeing at small foot, you know God's trying to get your attention. God told me to get shoes for the children of that village. Getting stuff into Romania is limited and the airlines changed it from 70 pounds to 50 this trip. But 50 lbs of shoes made it into that village shortly after Carl got to Romania. The people are camping in the hills above the village but at least some of the children had shoes to wear. I know he will take care of his people and we are thankful for the support to be able to touch the Gypsy Nation foremost with the knowledge of God's only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ and any thing else is icing. Thank you Father God for touching people's heart in the nation of Israel to help the Gypsy Christian Faith International churches in Romania at this time. Thank you for the provisions coming in to help restore these villages and building, for the flood waters drying up quickly so the crops can be planted and for touching the hearts of those that help with your Spirit of truth. Love Sheila
