FROM MJ DYKE

Thursday night Steve, Lee, Roxana and I went to Virgil’s church right here in the neighborhood. We all got to share including Julianna who was interpreting. She shared some awesome stuff about II Chron. 7:14 and how when we are on our face our head is lower than our heart. It is our heart that God really wants lifted up to Him. It was a tough act to follow. Lee gave a test with 2 questions. Does God love you? and Do you love God? I shared on how God loved us first and was patient to romance us into loving him. Steve shared on not allowing divisions to come in the church and encouraged them to continue in loving each other. They are in the process of building a larger room for the church services. They use three rooms now and they were packed like sardines and people kept coming in. The music, of course, was very gypsy – awesome! After the service I asked Virgil about the 10 year old whose heart was healed at his church two years ago, I still carry a picture of her. He told me she is now living on the streets. It is so sad that children must live this way when so many Christian families in the US are willing to adopt from here.

Friday night …got to go with Carl. That is what I really wanted to do because I felt Carl needed the prayer cover because of the variety of people there from different denominations. I took a few notes but mostly Jeanne and I spoke in tongues the entire time Carl was teaching. We slipped one time and both stopped and then Carl volunteered at a show of hands to raise from the dead anyone in the audience who wasn’t believing something and Jeanne and I immediately got back to praying. It was a great teaching! Afterwards a lady was healed who had had back problems for many years. Carl also prayed for me because I turned my ankle running around trying to find a bank with John. My foot also was healed and I am back to it. We walked back to Roxana’s – a bunch of us and spent a couple hours laughing and having dinner.

Today we went to the school. I felt like a princess the children were creaming and running to hug me with many many flowers. They all and the principal, and Alexandra asked for Brenda. The smallest children from last time are now five years old. Even the boys came for hugs and kisses. The whole team except Carl and Lee went. Jeanne, Chris and Diana took the few women who came into a room. We met with the children outside. Roxana brought a guitar and sang some songs with the kids. Steve taught from Daniel, both the fiery furnace and lions den records with the kids dressing up followed by a craft. I must say truly I have never seen anyone so good with children. John videotaped some of it because Steve brought a video camera. You will love it. And what a difference to have Roxana interpret with the children. Most had to leave after the teaching but she stayed to help with the craft. She is so awesome. We have become fast friends and I am so thankful that I came this trip. Steve says that is one of the reasons I came this time to help her make the transition to the US. I tell her she is “big fire in a little package”. She is excited I am bringing Brenda to NM next month. Sheila, please be prepared to share her she is a gift from God. And yes I saw my little girl, Michi. All the kids were there except the older teenagers.

Tomorrow Steve and John are going to villages with Jon. Carl and the girls are going to see the kids in the home. I will try to write again before I leave. We are going back to the school on Monday and tomorrow…the Lord knows I love the people here so very much. I don’t know why God allows me to come here so much but I am so very thankful that He does. I always feel like I receive more than I give but that is how our God is.
